Jo Elliott Psychotherapy
Cambridge
If you're looking for a compassionate, thoughtful, and experienced therapist to listen to you without judgement, you've come to the right place.
I offer individual therapy for adults from my garden room in East Chesterton, Cambridge, and I am also available for online work where needed.

About Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a talking therapy that involves speaking about emotional difficulties with a trained professional.
We may find ourselves needing support at different points in our lives. This might be in response to trauma, emotional distress, or overwhelming life events.
Sometimes we want a confidential, objective space to explore our feelings, understand ourselves better, or make sense of patterns in how we think, feel, and relate to others.
Therapy can also be a place to reflect, grow, and consider meaningful personal change.
It can help with a range of concerns, including anxiety, imposter syndrome, low mood, self-harm, effects of abuse, relationship and sexual difficulties, low self-esteem, and many more.
About Me
I am a qualified psychotherapist, registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and I work in accordance with their code of ethics. I am also a member of the Cambridge Society for Psychotherapy, where I trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
My role is to help bring unconscious thoughts and feelings into awareness, supporting you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself. By exploring how past experiences and relationships may influence your present life, we can work together to make sense of emotional difficulties and create space for new ways of responding and relating.
I have experience supporting people with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, and OCD, as well as the emotional effects of living with life-changing health conditions such as cancer.
I also work with people who identify as neurodivergent, are exploring whether they may be neurodivergent, or have a formal diagnosis. I hold a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism.
I offer 50-minute sessions, usually on a weekly basis. Sessions are primarily in person, held in my garden room in East Chesterton, Cambridge, though online therapy is also available
where appropriate.
